Job summary

METLEN is seeking an O&M Technician for our M Renewables team in Italy. The role covers preventive maintenance, fault troubleshooting, and performance monitoring of solar PV plants, with travel to multiple sites and remote work as needed.

You will document maintenance activities, use CMMS systems, and support contractors while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Fluency in Italian and basic English are required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of maintenance or troubleshooting experience on PV plants or similar facilities.
• Technical Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
• Fluent Italian; basic English.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
• Knowledge of Italian HSE legislation and ability to follow safety procedures.

We are looking for an O&M Technician to join our M Renewables team in Italy, part of our subsidiary METKA EGN.The role is focused on day-to-day technical activities to ensure proper operation, maintenance, and reliability of our solar PV plants.

Your role will encompass:

• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and support corrective maintenance activities on solar PV plants.
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, escalating complex faults when needed.
• Monitor basic plant performance indicators and ensure compliance with internal procedures and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including maintenance logs and technical reports; support the update of server files and backups.
• Support spare parts handling and assist external contractors during onsite interventions.
• Use and update the CMMS and other internal tools according to company procedures.
• Work remotely as required and travel regularly to various solar plant locations.

What you bring to the role:

• 1–2 years of experience in maintenance or troubleshooting of solar PV plants or relevant electrical/industrial experience.
• Basic understanding of PV systems, including string inverters, trackers, MV/LV equipment, and monitoring systems.
• Technical Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
• Knowledge of Italian HSE legislation and willingness to follow company safety procedures.
• Fluent Italian and basic English.
• Valid driver’s license and availability to travel.

Compensation & Contractual Framework

The starting gross annual salary (RAL) for this position is 27.500€, based on objective and gender-neutral criteria.

The final compensation may reflect the candidate’s relevant experience and competencies, in line with the Company’s remuneration framework.
