Job summary

CLdN Cargo Agencies Italy S.r.l. in Milan seeks an enthusiastic Truck Planner – Multimodal Logistics to join its Operations team.

You will oversee daily multimodal transport planning across Italy, ensuring on-time, cost-effective truck movements and seamless collaboration with carriers and internal stakeholders. The role requires a hands-on, proactive mindset with strong English and Italian language skills, experience in transport planning, and familiarity with TMS and office tools.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in transport planning or logistics operations preferred; motivation matters.
• Understanding of multimodal transport (road, rail, short-sea) is advantageous.
• Proficiency in English and Italian, with clear written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily truck movements across Italy's multimodal network, selecting optimal routes and carriers.
• Monitor live operations; track shipments and intervene when plans change.
• Coordinate with Customer Service for updates on delays or changes.
• Prepare the next day’s plan considering loading windows, driver hours (EU Reg. 561/2006) and client instructions.
• Manage equipment across collection and delivery runs (trailers, swap bodies, containers).
• Liaise with carriers, drivers and depot teams to ensure smooth execution of the plan.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements of planning processes and tools.
