Job summary

HHLA PLT Italy is seeking a Planner to coordinate vessel, yard, and rail plans for container and RORO operations in our Italian terminals. You will prepare stowage plans, validate DG documentation, and communicate changes to execution teams to ensure on‑time cargo flow.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in terminal planning, strong knowledge of TOS systems (NAVIS N4 or similar), and fluent Italian and English.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in terminal operations, yard planning, or vessel planning (container and/or RORO).
Strong understanding of port logistics, cargo handling equipment, and yard operations.
Advanced knowledge of TOS systems and operational planning tools.
Education in Logistics, Maritime Studies, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

Prepare vessel stowage plans for container and RORO vessels.
Validate load and discharge lists, DG documentation.
Coordinate with shipping lines, cargo control, and documentation teams.
Communicate vessel plans to execution teams and update plans as conditions change.
Allocate yard space based on vessel schedules and capacity.
Monitor yard utilization and identify congestion.
Prepare rail loading and unloading plans, including wagon allocation.
Coordinate with rail operators and gate teams to ensure timely operations.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and IMDG regulations.
Maintain records of plans and performance indicators.
