Job summary

ABB Drive Products Italy is seeking an experienced Product Manager to support the Motion portfolio, including Drives, Servo Systems, and Motion Controllers for the Machinery segment. You will collaborate with global factories and local sales teams to define specifications and drive product launches, pricing, and profitability.

The role emphasizes market research, customer engagement, and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

• Experience in product management, technical sales or applications in industrial automation.
• Strong knowledge of Variable Speed Drives, Servo Systems, Motion Controller.
• Solid understanding of OEM machinery applications and machine-building processes.
• Experience in automation applications within packaging, material handling, plastics, metalworking segments.
• Excellent relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical specifications and positioning of assigned products, support portfolio development.
• Develop business for Drives, Servo Drives, and Motion Controller with sales network.
• Assist OEM customers and machine builders in identifying suitable motion control solutions.
• Lead product introductions, lifecycle, variants, and software functionalities.
• Provide training to internal teams, partners, and customers.
• Coordinate with factories to ensure market requirements are met and gather feedback.
• Communicate market trends and opportunities to sales teams.
