Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd in Milan, Italy is seeking an experienced HSE Manager on a contract basis to lead health, safety and environmental management across operations and projects, ensuring compliance with Italian and European legislation.

You will own the HSE management system, conduct risk assessments, audits and incident investigations, develop practical procedures, and collaborate with engineering, site and quality teams to embed a positive safety culture and drive performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading HSE in industrial, engineering or construction settings.
• Strong knowledge of Italian and European HSE legislation (incl. Legislative Decree 81/2008).
• Experience with HSE management systems (ISO 45001 / ISO 14001).

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and development of the HSE management system.
• Ensure compliance with Italian and EU health, safety and environmental legislation across operations and projects.
• Conduct risk assessments, reviews of method statements, safe systems of work and permit to work arrangements.
• Plan and conduct site inspections, audits and HSE walkthroughs; track actions to close-out.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; report root causes and corrective actions.
