Job summary

Avio Aero in Campania, Pomigliano d'Arco, seeks a Mechanical Production Cell Leader to drive the manufacturing cell toward production targets for nozzle and rotor blades while improving Quality and EHS standards.

You will lead daily shop management, coordinate lean transformation, manage budgets, and mentor team members, ensuring on-time deliveries and adherence to safety and quality goals. A Master’s in Engineering is required.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Engineering with experience in Manufacturing/Lean fields.
  • Experience in machining and special processes for aeronautic components.
  • Knowledge of production/inventory control and standard cost systems.
  • Lean Six Sigma methodologies knowledge.
  • Knowledge of GE policies and aviation regulations.
  • Proficiency in Italian and English (written and spoken).
  • Work visa required per local regulations.

  • Oversee daily shop management, prioritizing parts with high customer impact.
  • Lead Lean transformation, optimize flow and pull systems.

Job Description Summary

As a Mechanical Production Cell Leader, you will lead the manufacturing cell to achieve production targets for the Nozzle and Rotor Blades programs while improving Quality and EHS standards.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
  • Lead the rate increase and linearity of Mechanical Production Area ensuring deliveries on time
  • Lead the Daily Shop Management of production area thru the problem solving methodologies, managing priorities and parts/products with high customer impact
  • Lead Lean Transformation of VS, working on Flow optimization and pull system, driving and foster Lean culture across the team
  • Own the responsibilities for achieving business profit, productivity, safety, and quality goals
  • Direct process/product improvement programs and provide process method excellence throughout the organization
  • Lead the team to achieve goals in asset utilization, process/manufacturing loss improvement, delivered quality and cost reduction
  • Interface with other organizations and vendors to assure requirements are met on time
  • Provide ongoing supervision and counseling for employees, guiding them in current positions and assisting with career development and training
  • Facilitate the leadership team in decision-making and problem solving and provide effective communication across the plant
  • Develop and track sales, expense, inventory, and investment budgets with the input of each organization
  • Provide leadership in the areas of staff selection, training and development, facility planning and construction, process, and procedure implementation
Required Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Engineering degree with a proven experience in Manufacturing Engineering and/or Material and/or Lean field
  • Proven knowledge of machining and special processes applicable on aeronautic components
  • Knowledge of the disciplines of manufacturing management such as production and inventory control, and standard cost systems
  • Knowledge and proven experience of Lean 6-sigma methodologies
  • Knowledge of manufacturing policies and regulations established by GE as well as government and other customers
  • Knowledge of Aviation rules, products and processes
  • Ability to develop and motivate a high-involvement team through commitment to meeting customer and organization demands
  • Fluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken
  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

Contract Level

CCNL metalmeccanico – level A1

Salary range for this role

54.525 euro - 81.562,50 euro + Performance-related bonus + PDR up to 6000 euro

Compensation will be defined within the published salary range, reflecting the candidate’s experience, developed skills, and overall alignment with the role’s responsibilities.
