Job summary

Avio Aero is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead Production Control scheduling and execution, aligning material and capacity with demand to ensure reliable delivery.

You will drive SQDC performance, collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain, and maintain data integrity in ERP/MRP systems while promoting daily management and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field.
  • Significant experience in production control, planning, operations, or manufacturing support.
  • Experience leading teams and coordinating cross-functional activities.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, material management, and execution control.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills communicating at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Fluent in Italian and English.
  • Work Visa required per local regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Production Control team in daily planning, scheduling, and execution management activities, ensuring clear priorities and operational discipline.
  • Ensure production plans are executed in line with customer demand, available capacity, constraints, and material availability.
  • Monitor, analyze, and drive performance on key operational metrics including on-time delivery, backlog, past due orders, work in process, plan adherence, shortages, and aging.
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Quality, and Engineering to remove constraints and support recovery plans.
  • Maintain planning parameters, system data integrity, and execution visibility within ERP/MRP systems.
  • Promote daily management rigor and continuous improvement by applying Lean / FLIGHT DECK principles, including standard work, problem solving, and performance follow-up.
  • Foster a culture of customer focus, accountability, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration.

Job Description Summary

As a Manufacturing Manager, you will lead Production Control activities within the CRO, ensuring effective production planning, schedule execution, priority management, and the alignment of material and capacity with business objectives.

In this role, you will drive operational performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC), while partnering cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Customer-facing teams to ensure reliable execution and high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Lead the Production Control team in daily planning, scheduling, and execution management activities, ensuring clear priorities and operational discipline
  • Ensure production plans are executed in line with customer demand , available capacity, operational constraints, and material availability
  • Monitor, analyze, and drive performance on key operational metrics, including on-time delivery, backlog, past due orders, work in process, plan adherence, shortages, and aging
  • Partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Quality, and Engineering to remove constraints, escalated critical issues, and support effective recovery plans
  • Maintain accurate planning parameters, system data integrity, and execution visibility within ERP/MRP systems
  • Promote daily management rigor and continuous improvement by applying Lean / FLIGHT DECK principles , including standard work, problem solving, and performance follow-up
  • Foster a culture of customer focus, accountability, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration
Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Operations , or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Significant experience in production control, production planning, operations, supply chain, or manufacturing support
  • Previous experience leading teams, or proven ability to coordinate and drive cross-functional activities
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, material management, and execution control processes
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills .
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership and external stakeholders
  • Fluent in Italian and English
  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulations, is required

Contract Level: CCNL metalmeccanico - level B3

Salary range for this role: 42.525,00 euro - 68.287,50 euro + Performance-related bonus + PDR up to 6000 euro

Compensation will be defined within the published salary range, reflecting the candidate's experience, developed skills, and overall alignment with the role's responsibilities.
