Prysmian seeks a Materials Engineer to advance characterization and development of cable and accessory technologies in Milan. You will perform polymer morphological characterization, correlate structure with properties, and support manufacturing process optimization.

This role emphasizes data analysis across multi- tech datasets, reporting findings to R&D and engineering teams, and shaping material formulations for improved performance in cable products, in a hybrid Milan location.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Science or Materials Science.
• Proven experience in polymer materials characterization and microscopy.
• Solid understanding of polymer physics, chemistry, and structure–property relationships.

Mansioni

• Perform advanced polymer morphological characterization to identify dispersion and distribution of polymeric and inorganic phases.
• Correlate polymer structure with chemical‑physical, rheological, and electrical properties of compounds.
• Conduct comparative analyses to support material development, troubleshooting, and product optimization.
• Analyze, interpret, and model complex multi‑technique datasets.
• Generate clear technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for R&D and engineering teams.
• Actively support development of optimized material formulations and manufacturing processes for cable products.
