Job summary

ADVANZ PHARMA is seeking a Director, Market Access & Biosimilar Lead for Italy to drive biosimilar growth, patient access and market leadership. You will lead pricing, reimbursement and access strategies, oversee launches, lifecycle management and stakeholder engagement across Italy.

You will manage Market Access teams, collaborate with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Supply Chain and Regulatory, and support HTA dossiers and value demonstrations to accelerate patient access and portfolio

Qualifications

• Significant pharmaceutical or biotech experience across Market Access, Commercial, Sales and Biosimilars.
• Strong knowledge of HTA, health economics and reimbursement environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead ADVANZ's biosimilars strategy and operational execution across Italy.
• Drive pricing, reimbursement and market access strategies for current and future products.
• Lead launch readiness, launch execution and lifecycle management activities across the biosimilars portfolio.
• Influence tender strategy, forecasting, market shaping activities and commercial performance.
• Lead and develop the Market Access and Regional Access teams across Italy.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Supply Chain, Regulatory and Global Market Access colleagues.
• Support preparation of HTA dossiers, evidence generation and value demonstration activities.
• Build relationships with AIFA, regional authorities, healthcare institutions and external stakeholders.
• Support business development and pipeline evaluations from a pricing, reimbursement and market access perspective.

ADVANZ PHARMA continues to strengthen its position as the partner of choice for specialty, hospital, rare disease and biosimilar medicines, we are seeking a Director, Market Access & Biosimilar Lead to join our Italy Commercial Business, focused on driving biosimilar growth, patient access and market leadership across Italy.

Reporting directly to Barbara Marini, VP & GM Italy, and sitting on the Italy Leadership Team, this role will lead the development and execution of market access, pricing & reimbursement and biosimilar strategies to maximise patient access and commercial success across the ADVANZ portfolio.

The successful individual will combine strong biosimilars expertise, hospital market knowledge and market access leadership to drive launches, shape market strategy, influence stakeholders and lead a high-performing team across Italy.

Qualifications

• Life Sciences degree or equivalent higher qualification.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Significant pharmaceutical or biotech experience across Market Access, Commercial, Sales and Biosimilars.
• Strong experience within biosimilars, hospital products and competitive healthcare markets.
• Experience developing and executing Pricing & Reimbursement strategies.
• Strong knowledge of Italian market access and reimbursement systems, including AIFA engagement.
• Experience leading market access teams and developing talent.
• Strong understanding of HTA, health economics and reimbursement environments.
• Experience influencing launch planning, market access strategy and lifecycle management activities.
• Ability to manage complex stakeholder environments across national and regional levels.
• Demonstrated leadership capability with experience managing people and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability.
• A positive and ‘can-do’ approach, biased towards finding solutions and embracing change.
