Astradyne is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to define, implement, and continuously improve the processes behind our lightweight foldable solar panels. You will ensure structured, documented manufacturing operations that meet high quality and efficiency standards.

You will collaborate with design and prototyping teams, translate technical knowledge into robust procedures, and work with external suppliers to maintain consistent quality across the supply chain.

Competenze

• Master’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Materials Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years in manufacturing, process engineering, or quality role.
• Experience with quality control methods and non-conformance management.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly documentation.
• Fluent in Italian and English, written and spoken.

We are looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to define, implement, and continuously improve the processes behind Astradyne’s production of lightweight foldable solar panels. You will be responsible for ensuring that our manufacturing operations are structured, documented, and consistently executed to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

You will work closely with the design and prototyping teams, translating technical knowledge into robust, repeatable processes, and collaborating with external suppliers and partners to maintain quality across the supply chain.

Gross annual salary (RAL): €35.000 – €55.000

Key responsibilities:

• Define, document, and maintain manufacturing processes and assembly procedures for production of foldable solar panels.
• Establish and enforce quality control checkpoints throughout the production flow, ensuring output meets technical and dimensional specifications.
• Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to translate product knowledge into structured, repeatable work instructions.
• Identify process inefficiencies, failure modes, and bottlenecks; propose and implement continuous improvement actions.
• Maintain accurate and traceable production documentation, including process sheets, non-conformance reports, and bill of materials.
• Coordinate with external suppliers and subcontractors to ensure incoming materials and components meet quality and specification requirements.
• Contribute to DFM (Design for Manufacturability) reviews, flagging process risks early in the design phase.
• Support the continuous improvement and scalability of manufacturing operations in line with the company’s growth.
• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing, process engineering, or quality role in a production environment.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing process documentation (work instructions, control plans, process FMEAs, or equivalent).
• Experience with quality control methods and non-conformance management.
• Methodical, detail-oriented approach with a strong sense of ownership over process compliance and traceability.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly documentation.
• Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken), with the ability to communicate with international partners and read technical documentation in English.

Preferred qualifications:

• Exposure to photovoltaic technologies, composite materials, or precision assembly processes.
• Experience with supplier qualification, incoming inspection, or procurement activities.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Interest in renewable energy, deep-tech, or space-related industries.
