Experimental Roma is seeking a skilled Sommelier Maître to deliver an exceptional wine experience from service to cellar management. You will present wines, advise guests, and maintain deep product knowledge to elevate every dining moment.

Based in Rome, you will work evenings and weekends, collaborating with a dynamic team at a venue that blends design and hospitality excellence. Proficiency in Italian and English is essential; Micros systems experience is a plus.

Competenze

• Proven experience as a Sommelier or in a similar role.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong organizational ability.
• Able to communicate in Italian and English.

Mansioni

• Serve wines at the table following professional standards: opening, decanting, presentation and commentary, tasting, and serving by the glass.
• Maintain excellent knowledge of all wine products.
• Contribute to high-quality guest reception and service.
• Perform end-of-service tasks: cleaning, organizing, and preparing for the next service.
• Ensure all work areas are kept in optimal condition.
• Act as a mentor: share knowledge with the team through tastings and training sessions.
• Stay up to date on the latest wine trends and have thorough knowledge of the food menu.
• Analyze sales to manage restocking and inventory.
• Manage the restaurant wine cellar, including wine selection and placing orders.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure proper storage and preservation of bottles.
