Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Maintenance & Facility Specialist to join a strategic start-up operation at our new logistics site in Alessandria. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining equipment, facilities, and infrastructure to support seamless daily operations.

You will manage maintenance activities, coordinate contractors, and ensure safety and compliance while working closely with Operations, Engineering, and HSE.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years in maintenance, facility management, technical services, or engineering roles within logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and building systems.
• Experience managing contractors and maintenance service providers.
• Proven problem-solving skills in fast-paced operational environments.
• English fluent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the reliability, efficiency, and availability of site equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.
• Coordinate preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.
• Manage external contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with service levels and safety standards.
• Support the maintenance of material handling systems, utilities, HVAC, electrical and mechanical equipment, and fire protection systems.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and drive rapid resolution to minimize operational downtime.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, HSE, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless site performance.
• Support the implementation of maintenance processes, procedures, and best practices during the start-up phase.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs, identify improvement opportunities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, safety requirements, and technical inspections.

We are seeking a hands-on professional with a strong operational mindset, comfortable working directly on the shop floor and personally managing maintenance and facility activities within complex logistics or industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the reliability, efficiency, and availability of site equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.
• Coordinate preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.

What we need from you

• Technical Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Maintenance, Facility Management, Technical Services, or Engineering roles within logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or other structured industrial environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and building systems.
• Experience managing contractors and maintenance service providers.
• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to perform effectively in fast-paced operational environments.
• English Fluent

Salary Package: €32,000 - €38,000 gross annual salary
