Midsummer Italia in Bari, Italy, is seeking a Machine operator with Electrician competence to join our growing renewable energy production line. You will perform day-to-day maintenance, preventive work, and continuous improvement of our production environment, acting as first responder to machine issues and performing minor electrical repairs on low-voltage installations.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, strong teamwork, and clear communication in an international setting.

Competenze

• High school diploma with electrician specialization; ITS education is a strong advantage.
• Valid electrician certification or license.
• Experience in maintenance of low‑voltage electrical installations as well as industrial machinery and production lines.

Mansioni

• Operate automated and semi-automated machines to produce the outer layer on the solar cell.
• Schedule and perform maintenance and service of machinery, overseeing installation of machinery and equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams and independently carry out basic electrical measurements.
• Collaborate with mechanical and production teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, health and safety requirements, and internal procedures.

At Midsummer, we are looking for a skilled Machine operator with Electrician competence who enjoys hands‑on work, structured troubleshooting, and close collaboration with colleagues across disciplines.

With the launch of our new production facility in Bari, Midsummer Italia is now strengthening the team with a Machine operator with Electrician competence who wants to contribute to the growth of renewable energy and advanced manufacturing.

About The Role

The role as a Machine operator with Electrician competence at Midsummer, is broad and varied combining day‑to‑day maintenance with preventive work and continuous improvement of our production environment. Your main responsibility is to ensure production machinery output meets the production goals within the set quality standard. You will be the first responder to machine breakdown and problems occurring within the production. Furthermore, you will also have the responsibility of minor repair, and preventive and corrective maintenance of low‑voltage electrical installations. All planned electrical work, planned renovations, repairs, and installation expansions will be performed on the first shift, where we have a full-time electrician.

Main tasks of the role

• Handle automated and semi-automated machines in order to produce the outer layer on the solar cell
• Handle the module production involves tasks such as soldering of the solar cell,
• Scheduling and performing maintenance and service of machinery, overseeing the installation of machinery and equipment
• Perform minor repair, and preventive and corrective maintenance of low‑voltage electrical installations with possible remote assistance
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams and independently carry out basic electrical measurements
• Collaborate with mechanical and production teams to identify and resolve technical issues
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, health and safety requirements, and internal procedures

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma with electrician specialization; post‑secondary education from an Istituto Tecnico Superiore (ITS) is a strong advantage
• Valid electrician certification or license
• Proven experience in construction, repair, and maintenance of low‑voltage electrical installations as well as industrial machinery and production lines
• 2-3 years of experience working as a machine operator in a fast‑paced environment
• Good understanding of electrical diagrams, measurements, and electrical safety regulations
• Fluency in English (minimum B2 level)
