Midsummer Italia, a leading solar energy company, seeks a Service Technician specializing in automation and control systems to ensure maximum uptime of Bari production equipment. You will be first responder to breakdowns, work with Beckhoff and other control systems, and collaborate with engineers to test improvements.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Automation or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent), strong English, and willingness to travel to Sweden for training in a fast-growing

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent vocational training and relevant work experience.
• Solid troubleshooting skills in industrial machinery, PLCs and automation systems.
• Professional proficiency in English (minimum C1 level).
• Understand engineering and technical information.
• Proactive, flexible and takes responsibility to finish a task.
• Able to work independently and in a group.
• Willing to travel to Sweden for training.

Mansioni

• Diagnose issues within the production and provide a plan of action.
• Respond rapidly to equipment breakdowns and production stoppages.
• Troubleshoot different bus communications (PROFIBUS, EtherCAT, ASi).
• Install software, take backups, manage backups for control systems (Beckhoff focus).
• Replace faulty equipment like PLCs/IPCs, computers, network switches, sensors and actuators.
• Connect to different control systems, PLCs, smart actuators and sensors to adjust settings.
• Control and troubleshoot robots from ABB and Kuka.
• Coordinate with external suppliers and technical support for advanced troubleshooting.
• Installation and commissioning of machines and equipment.
• Undertake special projects as required.
• Collaborate with Process Engineers to evaluate equipment performance and propose repairs or upgrades.
