Job summary

Galileo Green Energy GmbH in Milan is seeking an M&A and Project Finance Analyst to evaluate and execute investment opportunities in solar, wind and storage across Europe. The role reports to the Head of Project Finance and offers hybrid remote work within an international team.

You will build financial models, analyze market entry strategies and support debt financing activities across development, construction and operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or Management Engineering.
• Up to 2 years' experience in consulting, private equity, infra funds, investment banking/M&A, or corporate M&A or project finance functions.
• Strong financial modelling and quantitative skills.
• Fluent Italian and English; another European language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to sell-side, buy-side and partnership transactions from inception to closing.
• Build and maintain integrated financial models for M&A, project valuation and finance.
• Analyze entry into new geographical markets and development of new business models (solar I&C, BESS, floating offshore).
• Assess project economics and investment returns to support decisions across development, construction and operations.
• Assist in structuring, negotiation and execution of project finance, refinancing and debt raising.

Galileo is a fast-growing renewable energy IPP, investor and operator , currently in the very dynamic start-up phase.Since our foundation in 2020, we have secured a pipeline of over17 GWofsolarPV,onshore wind,offshore windandstorageprojects across 9 marketsin Europe.

We are looking for a M&A and Project Finance Analyst to assist in evaluating and executing new investment opportunities andfinancing solutions across different renewable energy technologies (solar PV,wind onshore and offshore as well as BESS).Working across the M&A andProject Finance teams, this person will be based in Milan(with thepossibility of hybrid remote working)and report to the Head of Project Finance.

What you’ll do

• Contribute to the successfulexecution of sell-side, buy-side and partnership transactions by working on thewhole spectrum from inception to closing.
  
• Build and maintain integrated financial modelsfor M&A, project valuation and project finance purposes, includingsensitivity analyses and scenario assessments.
  
• Analyse and roll-out the strategicentry in new geographical markets and the development of new business models(solar I&C, BESS, floating offshore).
  
• Contribute to the analysis of project economicsand investment returns, supporting decision-making across development,construction and operational phases.
  
• Support the structuring, negotiation andexecution of project finance transactions, refinancing processes and other debtraising activities.

Requirements

• Excellentacademic background with a degree in Economics, Finance, BusinessAdministration or Management Engineering (degrees in STEM are also suitable, ifaccompanied with background in economics or finance);
  
• Initial work experience (ideally upto 2 years) within consulting, private equity, infrastructure funds, investmentbanking/M&A, or corporate M&A or project finance functions, with adesirable focus in the energy/renewables business;
  
• Financial modelling experience andstrong analytical and quantitative skills;
  
• Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills in Italian and English. Another European language would bea plus;
  
• Enthusiasm and self-motivation,including a willingness to take on new challenges and broad responsibilities;
  
• Ability to prioritize several concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment and prove resilient in the face of challenges anddisappointments.
