Job summary

Six Senses Rome is seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager to lead the HR function in alignment with the property’s vision of emotional hospitality, sustainability and local sensibility. You will work with the Cluster Director of Human Resources – Italy & Ibiza and the General Manager to deliver the people strategy, manage recruitment, payroll, development and compliance with Italian labour laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Hospitality Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar Human Resources role within luxury hotels or the hospitality industry.
• Previous experience working in Italy, with a strong understanding of Italian labour laws, employment regulations and HR practices.
• Proven experience successfully managing high-volume recruitment processes, workforce planning and employee relations.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Italian.
• Must hold a valid EU passport or the appropriate legal authorisation to work in Italy.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the HR department, ensuring compliance with Six Senses standards, company policies and applicable Italian employment legislation.
• Support development and implementation of the property's HR strategy, including manpower planning, recruitment, payroll and benefits budgeting, training, Host engagement and retention.
• Partner with Department Heads and ExCom to anticipate staffing needs and ensure timely recruitment of talent aligned with Six Senses values.
• Drive recruitment and employer branding initiatives to attract, select and retain the right talent, while promoting internal mobility and career development opportunities.
• Support succession planning, talent reviews and IDPs, identifying high-potential Hosts and building a strong internal talent pipeline.
• Lead, coach and develop the HR team, providing clear direction and feedback to foster collaboration and learning.
• Maintain relationships with Hosts and leaders, promoting an inclusive, respectful and high-performing workplace.
• Oversee onboarding, training and Host development initiatives with Training team and Departmental Trainers.
• Champion Mission Wellness initiatives and sustainability practices across the property.
• Prepare and submit accurate HR reports, forecasts, budgets and other required documentation.
