Job summary

Montesol Experimental in Venice seeks a Receptionist to join our front desk team. You will greet guests, manage check-in/out, handle reservations, and coordinate with Housekeeping and F&B to ensure a seamless stay.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in hotel reception, fluency in Italian and English, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; Opera knowledge is a plus. A polished appearance and a proactive attitude are essential for success in our high-end property.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position.
• Well-groomed appearance, strong service mindset, and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail, teamwork, and initiative.
• Experience in hotel reception, ideally within a high-end establishment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Opera software is an advantage.
• Fluent in Italian and English; a third language is a plus.
• Availability, flexibility, and motivation to thrive in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist all guests on arrival.
• Manage check-in, check-out, currency exchange, invoicing, accommodation, information, bookings, concierge services.
• Respond to guest questions with a personalised service.
• Ensure a high level of customer service, respecting quality standards.
• Coordinate with the Front Office Manager on complaints.
• Coordinate communication between Housekeeping and F&B.
• Coordinate security at the front desk and manage key inventory and guest belongings.
• Assist with management of the hotel's general mailbox and emails.
• Prepare and submit operational reports on time.
• Keep workspaces neat and ensure the hotel entrance is pleasant.
• Maintain equipment of the department in good condition.
