Capella Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Director of Engineering in Rome. The role leads the engineering team across luxury operations, reporting to the General Manager and supporting Florence-based operations and strategic initiatives.

The position emphasizes life safety, preventive maintenance, and energy initiatives, with oversight of capital projects, regulatory compliance, and department leadership.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar luxury-hotel role, pre-opening experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and integrity with the ability to manage large projects and teams.

Mansioni

• Provide clear vision and direction for the Engineering team.
• Oversee pre-opening preparations and daily Engineering operations.
• Prepare and manage the Engineering Business Plan and Budget.
• Support Capital Expenditure planning and supervise projects.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs and audit safety compliance.
• Maintain life safety, alarm and firefighting systems.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and heritage building guidelines.
• Drive energy/green initiatives and cost controls.
• Foster interdepartmental collaboration and SOP updates.
