Capella Florence is seeking a Director of Engineering in Florence, Italy, reporting to the General Manager. You will lead the Engineering team across interior/exterior facilities, ensuring safety, reliability, and energy efficiency while maintaining Capella’s premium standards.

You will manage the Engineering Business Plan and Budget, supervise capital projects, and drive pre-opening preparations in alignment with brand guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role at luxury hotels/resorts.
• Pre-opening experience is an advantage.
• Strong leadership and budget management capabilities.

Mansioni

• Provide clear vision and direction for the Engineering team and foster Capella’s Service Philosophy.
• Lead pre-opening preparations and oversee daily Engineering operations and compliance.
• Prepare and manage the Engineering Business Plan and Budget; support CAPEX planning and projects.
• Oversee property maintenance, preventive maintenance, life safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage life safety systems, energy initiatives, and emergency procedures.
• Monitor logs, performance, documentation, and submission of reports.
