The World Food Programme seeks a Localization Specialist (Consultant Level II) to lead and coordinate Objective 2 on strengthening engagement with community-based organizations, including women-led and disability-focused groups. The role is based in Rome, Italy, for 11 months, reporting to the Localization Policy Coordinator within the Gender Protection and Inclusion Unit.

Responsible for guidance, analysis, and cross-office collaboration.

Competenze

Advanced degree in international development or related field.
Minimum 5 years’ postgraduate experience, at least 3 international.
Experience with community-based organizations (CBOs) in humanitarian/development settings.
Knowledge of partner management, grant management, or localization in donor-funded environments.
Fluency in English; French/Spanish is an asset.

Mansioni

Lead and coordinate Objective 2 on strengthening engagement with CBOs.
Develop guidance and provide technical advice to Country Offices.
Advise and support country offices on CBO engagement and localization activities.
Contribute to communications products, funding proposals, and donor engagements.
Incorporate gender, protection, and inclusion perspectives in all work.
