The World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking a Localization Specialist consultant to lead technical coordination for Objectives 2 and 4, focusing on strengthening engagement with community-based organizations and local actors in humanitarian settings.

The role requires advanced degrees, 5+ years’ relevant international experience, and proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders while integrating gender, protection, and inclusion perspectives into programmes.

Competenze

Advanced University degree in International Development, Economics, Social Science, or related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience (3 international) in international development or humanitarian work.
Experience with community-based organizations, including women-led or disabilities groups.
Experience within an international organization, with partner management, grant management, or related areas.
Knowledge of localization, gender, protection, and inclusion perspectives in humanitarian settings.
Fluency in English; knowledge of French or Spanish is an asset.

Mansioni

Lead activities to strengthen engagement with community-based organizations as technical partners in food security and nutrition.
Coordinate across HQ divisions toward adaptation of frameworks, partnership modalities, and risk processes.
Advise country offices to identify and articulate approaches for engaging CBOs.
Conduct studies and analyses to strengthen engagement with CBOs.
Contribute to organizational measurement of engagement via corporate indicators.
Develop guidance to amplify local voices through CBOs in national/international mechanisms.
