The World Food Programme (WFP) invites applications for a Localization Specialist in Rome, Italy, on a 11-month consultant contract. You will lead coordination of Objective 2 and support engagement with community-based organizations to strengthen local partnerships and nutrition outcomes.

Ideal candidates have advanced degrees and at least 5 years international development experience, including work with NGOs/CBOs, and proven collaboration across headquarters and country offices.

Competenze

• Minimum 5 years experience (of which at least 3 international) in international development or humanitarian work.
• Experience working with community-based organizations, including women-led or disability-led groups, in humanitarian/development settings.
• Experience in partner management, grant management, or related areas within an international organization.

Mansioni

• Lead/coordinate implementation of Objective 2 — strengthen engagement with community-based organizations as technical partners in food security and nutrition.
• Advise and provide technical assistance to country offices to identify and articulate approaches for strengthening CBO engagement.
• Contribute to communications products, funding proposals, donor engagements, reporting, and broader coordination tasks.
