Job summary

Dr. Schär is seeking a qualified legal professional to provide cross‑functional support across the business. You will work closely with the Head of Legal Services and external advisors to ensure a robust legal framework that supports strategic objectives.

You will advise on day‑to‑day operations, draft and negotiate contracts, and contribute to governance, compliance, and data protection matters while supporting AI initiatives and related regulatory considerations.

Qualifications

• Law degree required; Bar admission is advantageous.
• Experience in contract law and business support in a law firm or corporate setting.
• Knowledge of data protection and intellectual property matters.
• Fluent in German and Italian; very good English both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support to business functions in day-to-day operations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate national and international contracts; support data protection, IP and R&D.
• Contribute to corporate governance, compliance, and Supervisory Body matters.
• Assist with debt collection activities and coordinate with external law firms.
• Support the digital transformation of the legal function, particularly AI; ensure compliance in AI use.

Job description

The position works closely with the Head of Legal Services, various business departments, and external advisors. It provides legal support across relevant areas of responsibility, advises internal stakeholders on legal matters, and contributes to ensuring an appropriate legal framework that supports the business and the company's objectives

Your Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support to business functions in their day-to-day operations
• Draft, review, and negotiate national and international contracts
  Support activities related to data protection (privacy), intellectual property, and Research & Development
• Contribute to corporate governance, compliance, and Supervisory Body (ODV) matters
• Assist with debt collection activities and coordinate with external law firms
• Support the digital transformation of the legal function, particularly in the area of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  Ensure legal and compliance requirements are met in connection with the use of AI technologies

Your Profile

• Degree in Law
• Professional experience gained in a law firm or in a corporate environment, with a focus on contract law and business support
• Knowledge of data protection and intellectual property matters
• Excellent knowledge of German and Italian, as well as very good English language skills, both written and spoken
• Structured and autonomous way of working, strong team spirit, and a solution-oriented mindset
• Admission to the Bar is considered an advantage
