Gts Group Ltd. seeks a Mechanical Design & R&D Engineer in Italy to lead the development of automated machinery for the fruit and vegetable industry. You will own the mechanical design from concept through production, creating 3D models and drawings, debugging with automation teams, and conducting field tests across Europe.

The role involves direct interaction with manufacturers, suppliers, and cross-border teams in Italy, Spain and China, ensuring documentation and validation at each stage.

Competenze

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar.
• Experience designing automated machinery for packaging-line processes.
• Strong SolidWorks skills; AutoCAD required; Creo Parametric a bonus.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes: machining, sheet metal, welding, assembly.
• Ability to lead projects end-to-end and own the mechanical design from concept to production.
• Willingness to travel for testing/commissioning with international teams.
• Fluent Italian or Spanish.

Mansioni

• Lead mechanical design on new product development from concept to production.
• Own the mechanical side end to end: 3D models and manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks; field testing and data-driven problem solving.
• Collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers to resolve issues during assembly and commissioning.
• Write up and maintain technical documentation that ensures compliance and traceability.
• Coordinate with engineering and automation teams based in Italy, Spain and China.
