free jobss is seeking a Chief Mechanical Designer for a senior leadership role in the fruit and vegetable automation sector. You will personally lead mechanical design efforts and mentor 1–2 engineers, while driving development from concept to validated prototypes across Italy, Spain and China.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, technical ownership of new products, and close coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, scalable automated machinery solutions.

Competenze

• 7–8+ years of mechanical design experience in automated logistics or sorting equipment.
• Experience in fruit & vegetable sector ideal; if not, experience in automated logistics/sorting for food/pharma is mandatory in absence of fruit & vegetable experience.

Mansioni

• Drive mechanical design, development and implementation of automated machinery for the fruit and vegetable industry.
• Take technical ownership of new product development from concept through design, prototyping, testing and validation.
• Collaborate with automation and engineering teams in Italy, Spain and China.
