Cavotec in Rome, Italy, seeks an Electrical Testing & Certification Engineer to manage testing, ensure compliance with international safety and performance standards, and drive the product certification process for industrial solutions.

You will contribute to the development and launch of electrification and automation systems for ports, airports, and heavy industry, coordinating with cross-functional teams and external test facilities.

Competenze

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Significant experience managing type testing activities in electrical/mechanical components industries.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in managing technical projects.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Fluency in English and Italian is mandatory.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001/ISO 14001 and CE/UKCA marking processes.
• Ability to read/write electrical diagrams; hydraulics diagrams a plus.
• Experience with programming motor drives and setting parameters (ABB, Siemens, Vacon-Danfoss, Yaskawa).

Mansioni

• Define test equipment, procedures, and conditions for reliable testing.
• Test equipment to investigate performance per long-term plan.
• Program and parameterize variable frequency drives.
• Define instrumentation diagrams with software, mechanical teams, and suppliers.
• Collaborate to verify type tests and support bids and launches.
• Design, develop, and execute test plans for products internally and at external facilities.
• Prepare and validate documentation, test reports, and conformity evidence.
• Analyze results, identify deviations, and work with design teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain type test databases, including seismic test records.
• Support product qualification, validation, and certification activities.
• Assist with design reviews, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
• Plan and execute comprehensive test procedures across electrical, mechanical, and environmental domains.
