Baker Hughes in Italy is seeking a Lead AI Engineer to design and deliver AI serving capabilities that meet performance, reliability, and cost goals. You will mentor engineers and drive engineering standards across teams.

The role focuses on AI model serving, GenAI use cases, and collaborating with Platform, MLOps, Reliability, Security, Data, and Product teams to productionize AI solutions. Fluent Italian and English are required; EU permit is necessary.

Competenze

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.

Mansioni

Lead the design, analysis, implementation, and integration of AI model serving solutions.
Design and standardize serving architectures for AI and GenAI use cases.
Define and implementing safe rollout and rollback strategies; drive performance, scalability, and cost optimization.
Establishing and reviewing runtime resilience patterns; provide technical leadership and coaching through design and code reviews.
Developing and reviewing performance, load, resiliency, and cost test plans.
Ensuring operational readiness for production launches; participate in architecture, operational readiness, and security reviews.
Collaborating with Platform, MLOps, Reliability, Security, Data, and Product teams.
