Job summary

Swisslog in Torino is seeking a Finance Accounting Manager to lead the monthly, quarterly and annual closes under IFRS for Italian entities, ensuring timely group reporting and coordination with AR, AP and GL teams.

You will prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory financial statements and coordinate audits, while maintaining Local GAAP and tax filings and mentoring the Italian accounting team.

Hybrid work is available with a competitive TTC package and STI component.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a comparable qualification.
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing or industrial automation environments preferred.
• Several years of accounting experience in an international business setting.
• Strong IFRS and local GAAP knowledge.
• Experience with external auditors and statutory filings.
• SAP ERP experience or similar systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration.
• Business English fluency.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial close under IFRS for designated Italian entities.
• Ensure timely and high-quality group reporting.
• Oversee end-to-end accounting with AR, AP and GL teams.
• Analyse and resolve issues during the close process.
• Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and present balance sheet reviews to internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate statutory financial statements and group audits.
• Maintain Local GAAP ledgers and tax filings with consultants.
• Monitor intercompany transactions per Transfer Pricing policies.
• Act as main contact for external auditors, regulators and internal functions.
• Drive process improvements, SOPs and ERP transformation.
• Provide leadership to the Italian Key Accounting team.

Make an impact

• Responsibility for the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close under IFRS for designated legal entities
• Ensuring timely and high-quality group reporting
• Managing and overseeing end-to-end accounting processes in close collaboration with the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger teams
• Analysing, clarifying and resolving issues arising during the financial close process
• Preparing, reviewing and approving journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparing and presenting balance sheet reviews to internal stakeholders
• Responsibility for the preparation of statutory financial statements and the coordination of annual and group audits
• Ensure proper maintenance of statutory ledgers under Local GAAP
• Prepare and review tax-related calculations, fiscal books and filings, as a referent point of contact with fiscal consultants
• Ensure proper control and monitoring of intercompany transactions in line with Transfer Pricing policies
• Acting as the key point of contact for external auditors, regulatory authorities and internal business functions
• Ensuring compliance with IFRS, local GAAP and tax regulations
• Driving the continuous improvement of processes, internal controls and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Contributing to and leading projects focused on standardisation, automation and ERP transformation
• Providing functional and disciplinary leadership to a small Key Accounting team in charge of all the Italian legal entities of the Group, including coaching and developing team members

What you need to succeed

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a comparable qualification
• Ideally experience of working in a engineering, manufacturing or industrial automation environment
• Several years of relevant professional experience in accounting, ideally within an international business environment
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards
• Experience in preparing statutory financial statements and working with external auditors
• Good knowledge of taxation and finance-related processes
• Experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP
• Strong analytical skills combined with a structured and solution-oriented approach to work
• High level of initiative and accountability
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate professionally with a wide range of stakeholders
• Initial experience in leading or developing employees would be advantageous
• Excellent written and spoken English skills (business fluent)

Compensation & Benefits

This position has compensation and benefits based on CCNL Commercio and company policy. The annual gross total target cash (TTC) salary range is EUR 60.000 – 65.000. Final salary within this range will be determined based on objective, job-related criteria, including relevant experience, skills, role scope, location, internal equity and applicable pay policy/collective agreement provisions. A Short-Term Incentive (STI) is included as part of the Total Target Cash (TTC).
