Job summary

Nadara Italy SpA in Milano is seeking a Junior Power Originator to support origination, structuring, negotiation, and execution of PPAs and RtM across European markets.

You will collaborate with the Dispatching, Back Office, Legal, Finance, Development, and other teams to develop commercial opportunities for wind, solar, and battery storage assets. English fluent required; Italian preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Engineering, Business, Finance, Energy, or related discipline.
  • Up to 2 years of experience in renewable energy, power markets, energy trading, consulting, or related role.
  • Strong interest in renewable energy and European electricity markets.
  • Basic understanding of PPAs, RtM, energy market fundamentals, and pricing mechanisms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop commercial opportunities across Europe.
  • Participate in international industry events, fairs and conferences.
  • Conduct market analysis on pricing trends, regulatory developments, competitor activity, and market opportunities.
  • Support origination, evaluation, and execution of PPA and RtM transactions.
  • Assist in negotiating and drafting said transactions.
  • Prepare commercial proposals, pricing analyses, and internal approval materials.
  • Support negotiations and contract execution with senior originators and traders.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Development, Technical, Risk, Trading and Back Office teams to deliver bankable commercial solutions.
  • Collaborate with Dispatching and Back-Office Team to build and maintain a portfolio of prospects.
  • Maintain transaction pipelines, market intelligence, and internal reporting activities.
  • Contribute to improvement of commercial processes and market knowledge.

Job Description Summary:

The Junior Power Originator will support the origination, structuring, negotiation, and execution of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Route-to-Market (RtM) agreements, and other renewable energy commercialization solutions across European electricity markets. Reporting to the Head of European Origination, the successful candidate will support the development of commercial opportunities for wind, solar PV, and battery energy storage (BESS) assets, working closely with internal teams, in particular with the Dispatching and Back-Office Team, and external counterparties.

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the identification and development of commercial opportunities across Europe.
  • Participate in international industry events, fairs, conferences.
  • Conduct market analysis covering pricing trends, regulatory developments, competitor activity, and market opportunities.
  • Support the origination, evaluation, and execution of PPA and RtM transactions.
  • Support the negotiation and drafting of said transactions.
  • Assist in preparing commercial proposals, presentations, pricing analyses, and internal approval materials.
  • Support commercial negotiations and contract execution processes alongside senior originators and traders.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Development, Technical, Risk, Trading, and Back Office teams to deliver bankable commercial solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Dispatching and Back-Office Team to build and maintain a portfolio of prospects.
  • Maintain transaction pipelines, market intelligence, and internal reporting activities.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of commercial processes, standard agreements, and market knowledge.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Engineering, Business, Finance, Energy, or a related discipline.
  • Up to 2 years of experience in renewable energy, power markets, energy trading, consulting, or a related commercial or analytical role. Relevant internships will also be considered.
  • Strong interest in renewable energy and European electricity markets.
  • Basic understanding of PPAs, RtM agreements, energy market fundamentals, and electricity pricing mechanisms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken. Spanish, Italian, or Portuguese would be considered an advantage.
