Prysmian sta cercando un ENERGY CABLE DESIGNER per il team R&D Design & Cost in Italia. La risorsa, basata a Merlino (LO), supporta costi, offerta tecnica e sviluppo prodotto, collaborando con reparti Sales, Manufacturing e Product Development.

Il candidato ideale ha laurea in Ingegneria Elettrica o equivalente, 1–2 anni di esperienza e buona padronanza di italiano e inglese. Disponibilità a operare in un contesto di fabbriche italiane e a lavorare in team dinamico.

Competenze

  • Laurea magistrale in Ingegneria Elettrica/Elettronica o equipollente.
  • Esperienza 1–2 anni in contesto industriale, anche come design elettrico o ingegneria di processo.
  • Conoscenza di processi di produzione e materiali principali.
  • Ottime capacità analitiche e di lavoro in team, autonomia e gestione delle scadenze.
  • Buone capacità di comunicazione; fluente italiano e inglese; lavoro in contesto di matrice.
  • La conoscenza del settore cablaggio sarà considerata un plus.

Mansioni

  • Progettare cavi elettrici nel dettaglio, definire materiali e prestazioni secondo specifiche e standard.
  • Generare BoM e routing di produzione; definire liste di costi per articoli a magazzino.
  • Stabilire regole di progetto per diverse famiglie di cavi; supportare offerte tecniche.
  • Preparare pacchetti dati tecnici per l'ufficio Commerciale (datasheet, sheets).
  • Collaborare con il Product Development per prototipi e trasferimenti di produzione tra stabilimenti.
  • Supportare le fasi di valutazione tecnica delle offerte e interfacciarsi con le fabbriche.

Your contribution to Prysmian's Success:

We are looking for a bright engineer to join our Italy R&D Design&Cost team, as an Energy Cable Designer; the resource will be based in Merlino (LO) and will be part of the R&D team supporting Italian-based factories. The responsibilities of the team are:

  • to provide all technical support to Sales department to enable an adequate offer to all customer enquiries
  • to ensure correct definition of product costing, considering designs, bill of materials and routing
  • to fully understand the applications and customer needs
  • to cooperate with Product Development and Material teams to develop new products in line with company strategies
  • to represent the Company in National technical committees, actively contributing to the product standards evolution

Successful candidates are curious, eager to learn about cable making industry - through proper training and coaching on the job by senior colleagues and direct manager; he/she has a very positive and proactive approach, resilience to face challenging situations/targets and ability to cooperate with different functions inside the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Using specific software (Common Analysis or SAP):
  • design electrical cables in each detail, type of materials and performances according to the customer request and applicable technical standards
  • generate the related Bill of Material and manufacturing Routing of the cables
  • make and update Cost Lists for stock items to be used by Sales department
  • make and update Project rules of different cable families
  • take in charge Customer Offers by reading the technical specifications, giving the correct selection of cables and creating a full technical data pack (datasheet, technical bid evaluation sheets, deviations) for Sales Dept
  • collaborate with Product development team (e.g. create prototypes designs)
  • evaluate and support manufacturing product transfer from one plant to another

  • Support commercial and quality department in technical bid evaluation phases
  • Interface with factory to implement their specific needs/changes in process
  • Make base electrical calculations related to the main characteristics of the cables (e.g. ampacity, capacitance)
  • Visit customers to understand application and market needs, giving support to Sales dept
You are the right fit if you have/are:
  • Preferably master’s degree in Electrical, Electrotechnical or Electronic Engineering
  • Previous experience (1-2 years) in industrial business, with preferred experience as electrical design, process engineer, production engineer, continuous improvement or product development
  • Basic knowledge of production processes and of the main polymeric and metallic materials used
  • Structured, solid, and trustable person, with abilities of being analytical as well as synthetical, methodical and conscious planner. Fan of teamwork approach
  • Good communications skills
  • Ability to work independently, within complex matrix organizations, and to handle pressure at times
  • Previous knowledge of cable-making industry would be considered as a plus
  • Fluent in both Italian and English, spoken and written

  • Gross annual salary no less than: €39.000
