Job summary

Essentra is seeking an HSE Manager to lead Environmental Health & Safety across three Italian sites (Bologna, Milano, Vicenza). The role requires on-site presence at each location and alignment with ISO 14001 and UNI ISO 45001:2018 standards.

You will plan, develop, and continuously improve occupational health, safety, and environmental programs, influencing leaders and cross-functional teams to embed proactive EH&S practices throughout the organization.

Qualifications

• Degree in Safety Management, Engineering or equivalent.
• ASPP certification or equivalent.
• Experience as an HSE Manager in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and UNI ISO 45001:2018.
• Knowledge of Italian safety regulations (D.Lgs. 81/08).
• Fluent Italian and English in written and spoken form.
• Lean/continuous improvement knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee EH&S compliance across Bologna, Milano and Vicenza sites.
• Maintain and improve ISO 14001 and UNI ISO 45001:2018 systems.
• Drive health and safety programs and safety culture initiatives.
• Lead hazard identification, risk assessment and control implementation.
• Coordinate audits, reporting and regulatory liaison.
• Provide safety training and coaching to staff and leaders.

Education
