Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Field Engineering Manager to lead and grow a team of pre-sales Architects and Engineers in Italy, based in Milan. You will partner with Sales to drive revenue while coaching teams to deliver value-based, technical solutions.

You will mentor staff, build a collaborative culture, and ensure effective engagement with customers and partners across the region. Italian and English fluency are required.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a team of Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS professionals.
• Experience in consumption-based business environments.
• Mentoring and scaling technical teams.
• Instituting processes for field members to improve efficiency and product focus.
• Ability to partner with Sales and cross-functional leaders.
• Passion for data and AI market and cloud software models; strong POV on value of Databricks solutions.
• Technical or consulting background in Data Engineering, Database technologies or Data Science.
• Strong communication skills; Italian native and fluent in English.
