Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets seeks a Country Claims Manager, Italy to establish and lead the claims capability in Italy. You will drive strategy, governance, and operational excellence across Property, Construction & Engineering, and future lines of business.

In this senior role, you will partner with the Country MD, underwriting leadership, and stakeholders to deliver best-in-class claims outcomes while shaping the Italian market presence and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Competenze

• 12+ years of experience in commercial insurance claims or related legal practice.
• Proven leadership experience in claims management.
• Significant experience with Property and Construction & Engineering claims.
• Strong understanding of Italian insurance regulation and claims practices.
• Experience managing delegated claims authority frameworks.
• Commercial mindset with a solid underwriting/portfolio management understanding.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Fluent Italian and English; additional EU languages beneficial.

Mansioni

• Lead and develop the Italy claims function, aligning with Country MD and underwriting leadership.
• Oversee high-value, complex, and cross-border claims across lines; set strategy and governance.
• Manage external experts and delegated authorities (MGA/TPA).
• Partner with brokers, clients, and regulators; inform underwriting and portfolio decisions.
• Drive process improvement, controls, and reporting for claims governance.
• Represent Munich Re Specialty externally in Italy and internally within the organization.
