Munich Re Specialty is seeking a Country Claims Manager, Italy in Milan to establish and lead our Italian claims capability. You will shape the strategy, drive technical excellence, and build strong relationships with brokers, clients, and partners to support growth across Property, Construction & Engineering and future lines of business.

Competenze

• 12+ years' experience in commercial insurance claims and/or relevant legal practice.
• Proven leadership experience within Claims management.
• Significant experience handling Property and Construction & Engineering claims.
• Strong understanding of Italian insurance regulation and claims practices.
• Experience managing delegated claims authority frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with brokers, clients, reinsurers, legal advisers, regulators, and other stakeholders.

Mansioni

• Lead and shape the Claims function for Italy, overseeing Property, Construction & Engineering and other specialty lines.
• Provide technical expertise across coverage analysis, liability assessment, reserving, and complex claims strategies.
• Drive major loss, catastrophe, and complex claims resolutions in collaboration with external experts.
• Build and manage external relationships (MGA, TPA, loss adjusters, engineers, surveyors, counsel).
• Partner with Country MD and key stakeholders to support underwriting strategy and business plan.
• Deliver governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance for Italian operations.
