Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets in Milan, Italy seeks a Senior Property & Engineering Underwriter to lead underwriting excellence and growth for the Italian market. You will develop profitable opportunities, strengthen broker and client relationships, and collaborate with teams across the network.

The role requires a minimum of 8 years in P&E underwriting, deep knowledge of the Italian insurance landscape, and an entrepreneurial mindset to tailor solutions for complex client needs.

Competenze

• Minimum 8 years of Property & Engineering underwriting experience.
• Strong knowledge of the Italian insurance market including brokers and distribution partners.
• Proven track record of originating and growing profitable Property & Engineering business.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to tailor solutions for complex client needs.

Mansioni

• Support growth of Property & Engineering business in Italy.
• Execute underwriting strategies aligned with regional/global objectives.
• Identify and secure profitable opportunities with brokers and clients.
• Underwrite risks and manage portfolio profitability and data quality.
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers, clients and distribution partners.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to guide underwriting decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across claims, legal, compliance and finance.
