Deltatre is seeking a Front-End Lead Engineer based in Italy to drive high-quality, scalable front-end solutions while remaining hands-on. You will shape architecture, mentor engineers, and serve as the main technical contact between your team and stakeholders.

In this role you will oversee front-end delivery across projects, collaborate with Technical Directors, define acceptance criteria with BA/PO, and manage technical risks.

Competenze

• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles.
• Experience with Node.js, Next.js and server-side rendering concepts.
• Strong knowledge of Tailwind CSS for responsive UI.
• Expertise in front-end testing with Jest.
• Experience designing scalable front-end architecture and component-based patterns.
• Strong understanding of performance optimization, security and accessibility.
• Proficiency with Git.
• Experience mentoring engineers and guiding their growth.
• Track record making architectural decisions and communicating trade-offs to stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for deployment and release management.
• Basic knowledge of self-hosting Node.js apps in containers.
• Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes for deployment/orchestration.
• Experience with front-end build tools and module bundlers.

• Oversee front-end engineering aspects of projects, ensuring robust, scalable, secure, high-performing solutions.
• Plan and monitor front-end development activities, prioritise tasks and provide technical estimates.
• Review code quality and ensure adherence to standards and performance benchmarks.
• Identify and resolve technical blockers and escalate architecture concerns.
• Promote automation, tooling, and modern front-end technologies.
• Maintain architectural principles and supporting documentation.
• Mentor, coach and onboard engineering team members.
• Track performance feedback and contribute to recruitment and integration of new team members.
• Contribute to project planning with technical insights and align with goals.
• Collaborate with Technical Directors to find innovative front-end solutions.
• Support grooming activities with BA/PO and define acceptance criteria.
• Communicate technical risks and escalate when necessary.
• Act as main technical contact for customers and stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into technical needs with Product Owner.
• Present progress to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Provide on-call support when required.
