Job summary

Amaris Consulting is seeking a Senior IT Transformation Project Manager predominantly remote, based in Milan, Italy, with on-site presence approximately twice per month. The role focuses on coordinating multi-country business and IT transformation programs, including operating-model evolution and process redesign across international environments.

You will manage governance, requirements, and stakeholdership while driving knowledge transfer and change management across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in project management and delivery of business and IT transformation.
• Experience leading multi-country or multi-business-unit transformation initiatives.
• Strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping and RACI/RASCI definitions.
• Knowledge of organisational restructuring, workforce transitions and regional/global delivery models.
• Fluent English and Italian mother tongue; strong facilitation and stakeholder management.

Join Amaris Consulting as an IT Transformation Project Manager and contribute to strategic transformation initiatives within complex international environments. Based preferably in Milan, Italy, with other European locations considered, this role will support business and IT transformation programs involving operating-model evolution, multi-country transitions, process redesign, and operational handover.

Your missions

• Lead business and IT transformation projects across multi-country or multi-business-unit environments.
• Structure and coordinate operating-model implementation initiatives, including phased transitions and readiness planning.
• Conduct discovery activities, requirements gathering, As-Is/To-Be analysis, process mapping, gap analysis, and RACI/RASCI definition.
• Define project governance, delivery plans, dependencies, acceptance criteria, and operational handover frameworks.
• Facilitate workshops with business, IT, HR, and local stakeholders to align transformation objectives and delivery priorities.
• Support knowledge transfer activities and ensure smooth transition from local practices to regional or global delivery models.
• Bring structure to ambiguous contexts by creating repeatable methodologies and practical execution plans.
• Coordinate change management activities in mature and complex organisations with diverse local practices.

Your profile

• 5+ years of experience in project management, with strong exposure to business and IT transformation, organisational change, or operating-model implementation.
• Experience with business analysis methodologies, including discovery, requirements gathering, As-Is/To-Be analysis, process mapping, gap analysis, and RACI/RASCI.
• Experience managing complex multi-country or multi-business-unit transformation projects.
• Experience with phased transitions, readiness and acceptance criteria, dependency management, knowledge transfer, and operational handover.
• Knowledge of organisational restructuring, workforce transitions, role changes, shared services, regional or global delivery models is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure or service transformation, including legacy environments, local contracts, non-standard services, connectivity, voice, or infrastructure topics is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, systems analysis, or a related field.
• English fluent and Italian mother tongue
• PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, Agile/Scrum, or change-management certification is advantageous.
• Strong facilitation, organisation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills are demonstrated in complex international environments.
