Job summary

Generali Italia SpA is seeking an early career finance professional to join the Group Shared Services Financial Controlling function within the Group Chief Financial Office. The role focuses on developing strong controlling, reporting, and stakeholder-management skills while supporting financial controlling for Group IT projects and software factories.

You will help oversee procurement-to-pay stages, project revenue accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Business, or Engineering.
• 3-5 years in Finance Controlling; IT project management experience is a plus.
• Fluent in Italian and English.

Responsibilities

• Support project procurement-to-pay processes: requirements, budgets, contracts, supplier orders, and invoices.
• Support accounting for project-based revenue and percent-of-completion accounting where applicable.
• Assist yearly budget, forecasts and periodic reporting for Group IT projects.
• Assist project teams on accounting principles and regulatory compliance per defined framework.

Job description

Within the new established Group Shared Services Financial Controlling function in the Group Chief Financial Office area, we are looking for a talented and proactive resource to join the team.

The resource is an early career finance professional, who is eager to develop strong controlling, reporting and stakeholder-management skills, who will support the team in the financial controlling of the shared services provided by Group IT projects and related software factories

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

• Support overseeing all the stages of project procurement-to-pay process, including assessment of initial business requirements, budget checks, formalization of contracts and supplier orders, delivery confirmation and invoice payment
• Support accounting for project-based revenue and percentage-of-completion accounting where applicable
• Support assessment of yearly budget, forecast and periodic reporting of Group IT projects
• Support the project teams in terms of accounting principle and compliance regulations according to the defined methodology and framework

Requirements

Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• Degree in Finance, Business, or Engineering
• 3-5 years previous experiences in Finance Controlling, specific experience in IT project management and project financial planning is considered as an advantage
• Fluent in Italian and English
