Next Ventures is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Support Engineer to manage their hybrid infrastructure, ensuring performance and security across cloud and on-prem environments. This role requires expertise in AWS and VMware, alongside strong networking and storage skills, with responsibilities that impact system availability. The position is contract-based for at least 6 months and will primarily be onsite in Milan, providing an excellent opportunity for professionals in the tech industry.

Competenze

Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere 5.5 or higher.
Advanced networking skills including IP, DNS, DHCP.

Senior Recruitment Consultant - Infrastructure

We are seeking a Infrastructure Support Engineer with deep technical expertise in AWS, VMware, networking, and storage systems. You will play a critical role in managing our hybrid infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across cloud and on-prem environments.

Onsite/Remote: onsite in office

Duration: 6 months+

Language: English and Italian

Key Responsibilities

Deploy, configure, and manage AWS cloud services and infrastructure components
Administer VMware vSphere environments (5.5 or higher) for server virtualization
Manage enterprise storage systems, including RAID, LUNs, and NFS (Nimble preferred)
Oversee network architecture and connectivity—subnetting, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, NAT, ACLs
Configure and troubleshoot firewalls and VPN connections
Maintain domain registrations and SSL certificates lifecycle
Collaborate with security, DevOps, and IT teams to ensure infrastructure resilience

Required Skills & Experience

Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud infrastructure and services
Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere 5.5 or higher
Solid understanding of enterprise storage (RAID, LUNs, NFS; Nimble a plus)
Advanced networking skills: IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, TCP/UDP, ACLs, VLANs, VPN
Advantage: familiarity with Palo Alto Firewalls and network security principles
Experience with domain registration and SSL certificate management
