Job summary

ABB is seeking a Production Engineering professional in Italy to optimize assembly methods, processes, and equipment for cost and efficiency improvements. You will ensure process performance, cycle times, and material readiness align with targets, and define sequences for new processes within budget constraints.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, collaboration across teams, and effective communication in English and Italian.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Production Engineering or Technical diploma with at least 5 years in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Optimize assembly methods, processes and equipment to minimize labor hours and costs.
• Identify improvement opportunities and lead improvement projects with on-time delivery and quality targets.
• Approve process designs and perform final tests for projects.
• Support production during start-up and define action plans for maintenance and training.
• Evaluate new process technologies to improve productivity and cost reduction.

Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets.
