Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions Europe in Lombardy seeks an experienced software engineer to analyze and implement software requirements for IoT cloud services, including building management, maintenance, and subscription models.

You will design and develop cloud-based applications across front-end and back-end, build platform functions for HVAC and building systems, implement RESTful APIs, and collaborate with product teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.

Competenze

• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Hands-on across front-end and back-end web app development.
• Proficient in Java or C#.
• Experience with unit testing and code reviews.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS or Engineering.
• Fluent English for international collaboration.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Analyze and implement software requirements for commercial IoT cloud services such as building management, maintenance, and subscription‑based services.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud‑based applications with strong hands‑on contribution across front‑end and back‑end components.
• Build and extend platform functions and custom features for commercial HVAC and building systems.
• Implement and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services for device management, data collection, monitoring, diagnostics, and subscriptions.
• Develop professional web user interfaces for facility managers and maintenance users using modern web technologies.
• Perform unit and integration testing, bug fixing, and support system validation (remote and onsite when required).
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical problem solving with internal teams and external partners.
• Analyze performance, scalability, and reliability, and continuously improve code quality and maintainability.
• Investigate issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, QA, and other developers to deliver high‑quality services.
• Support integration with edge controllers, gateways, and field devices, considering IoT protocols, data models, and security constraints.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 3+ years of software development experience with strong hands‑on coding and testing.
• Practical experience in web application development across front‑end and back‑end layers.
• Knowledge of server‑side object‑oriented languages such as Java or C#.
• Experience applying standard software engineering practices including unit testing and code reviews.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken, for international collaboration.
