EFESO is seeking an Intern to support consulting teams in project activities and internal initiatives in Milan. The role suits a student or recent graduate in Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields, eager to gain hands-on experience in management consulting.

No prior work experience is required, but internships or university projects are a plus. You will work alongside experienced consultants on analyses, research, and project preparation, with some travel and flexible hours.

Internship Overview

We are looking for an Intern to support our consulting teams in project activities and internal initiatives. The ideal candidate is a student or recent graduate in Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields, motivated to gain hands‑on experience in management consulting. No previous work experience is required, but prior internships or extracurricular projects will be considered a plus. The internship is designed as a learning path: the candidate will work alongside experienced consultants, contributing to analyses, research activities, and project preparation. Given the nature of our client engagements, some availability for travel and flexibility in working hours may be required.

What we expect you to do

• Support the project team in day‑to‑day activities, contributing to operational tasks under the guidance of EFESO consultants.
• Collaborate with EFESO and client team members in preparing materials and participating in project workstreams, helping the team progress toward project objectives.
• Contribute to analyses, research, and preparation of presentations or documentation, ensuring accurate and timely support to project deliverables.

Desired qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree completed with a solid academic record.
• Previous internships, university projects, or experiences working in team‑based environments will be considered a plus. No prior professional experience is mandatory.
• Strong analytical mindset. Effective communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (data analysis, basic functions, charts) and PowerPoint (slide creation and structuring). Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python) is considered a plus.
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn, genuine interest in understanding new topics and methodologies. Proactive attitude with the ability to take initiative and contribute to team activities. Flexibility and adaptability, both in managing tasks and in working within dynamic project environments.
• Lean, Lean Six Sigma or similar certifications are considered a plus. English language certifications (and any additional language certifications) will be valued as an advantage.
• Driving license (required).
