Job summary

Saipem is seeking an accountant to join the International Accounts payable or receivable department, supporting accounting activities within the new international hub structure in Milan.

You will manage accounting activities for international third parties, handle invoices, ensure tax compliance, schedule payments, and prepare analyses and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance across the business.

Qualifications

• Education: Accounting Diploma or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Economics.
• Background: At least 2/3 year of experience.
• Languages: Good knowledge of English (B2); French or Portuguese appreciated.
• Technical Knowledge: MS Excel; SAP would be appreciated.
• Additional qualities: Accuracy, analytical thinking, proactivity, and willingness to grow in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Managing all accounting activities issued towards international third parties.
• Handling passive and active invoices in line with contracts and internal procedures.
• Managing relevant international tax compliance aspects (VAT, withholding tax, Intrastat, etc).
• Scheduling invoice payments per internal calendar and maintaining supplier ledger cards.
• Elaborating on-demand analyses and internal controls to ensure accuracy of activities.
