Job summary

Veepee in Milan is seeking a General Accountant to own the day-to-day general accounting for the Italian entities. You will manage the General Ledger, prepare reporting packages, and ensure compliance with local and Group standards.

You will collaborate with the group HQ on cross-border flows, perform intercompany reconciliations, and support audits. A fast-paced environment with hybrid work awaits a proactive team player.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or economics.
• 3-5 years of experience in general accounting.
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets and SAP / S/4HANA.
• Fluent English.
• Proactive, strong teamwork and ability to work independently.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own Italian General Ledger, ensure accuracy per local and group standards.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual reports and assist Financial Statements.
• Maintain daily accounting operations and provide backups as needed.
• Serve as cross-border accounting contact linking Italy with Group HQ.
• Analyze financial data and intercompany reconciliations to provide insights.
• Collaborate across teams to streamline accounting processes.
• Own Italian VAT, LIPE and statutory filings; ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Support audits and Financial Statements with the Accounting Manager.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting accuracy and efficiency.
