Saipem cerca un Ingegnere di Instrumentation da integrare nel dipartimento ENCAR, con responsabilità che spaziano dall’estimation alla definizione della base ingegneristica e sviluppo di sistemi di Instrumentation per impianti onshore e floaters. Il ruolo prevede interazione con altre discipline e fornitori, in un contesto internazionale.

È richiesta esperienza minima di 5 anni nel settore Energia (Power, Oil&Gas, Petrochimico, Rinnovabili o Floaters) e una buona padronanza di

Competenze

• Esperienza come Instrumentation Engineer in settore energetico (min 5 anni).
• Conoscenza di strumenti di design e ingegneria (Aveva, Hexagon, Autodesk).
• Buona padronanza dell'inglese (B2) e dell’italiano (C1).

Mansioni

• Revisionare documentazione tecnica del cliente e requisiti.
• Preparare specifiche, datasheets e disegni di installazione per l’Instrumentation.
• Monitorare lo sviluppo di design da parte dei fornitori e garantire conformità.
• Supportare le altre discipline con valutazioni tecniche e stime costi/tempi.
• Coordinare attività interne ed esterne e definire azioni correttive.
• Ottimizzare progetti di Instrumentation per costi e sicurezza.
• Eseguire attività di cantiere durante costruzione e commissioning.

As Instrumentation Engineer, you will respond to the Head of Instrumentation, Control and Telecommunication Engineering Department (SMAUT) and be part of the ENERGY CARRIERS (ENCAR) business line, focused mainly on onshore plants and floaters. As Instrumentation Engineer, you will be involved in project execution, starting from the estimation phase to the engineering design basis definition and the detail design development of Instrumentation Systems (Valves, Instruments, Analyzers, Metering Systems, HIPPS, …)

How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:

• Review, analyze and endorse Client technical documentation and requirements.
• Prepare Instrumentation technical specifications, datasheets and installation drawings. Define instrumentation quantities to be procured (MTO) and to be installed (BoQ). Participate to P&ID mechanization and Instrumentation database preparation. Ensure Instrumentation 3D modelling design activities.
• Prepare the technical requisitions both for material and services, perform the technical alignment of bidders, prepare and finalize the technical evaluations.
• Monitor and control Instrumentation vendor detail design development, verifying vendor design documentation (including sizing calculations for valves, measurement elements, …) and guaranteeing compliance with project requirements and project schedule
• Ensure adequate support to other functions and disciplines by actively participating in multidisciplinary reviews, coordinating and expediting the collection of required suppliers information, and providing technical evaluations, cost/schedule estimates and risk assessments to ensure that all engineering decisions are effectively communicated and properly implemented across the project organization.
• Support the Project Lead in planning and coordinating both internal and external activities. Coordinate and ensure the execution of specialist engineering activities, monitoring progress against the agreed schedule, analyzing deviations, and identifying and implementing the necessary corrective actions to achieve Project objectives.
• Optimize Instrumentation Systems design ensuring minimal cost and complexity in compliance with the contractual and safety requirements.
• Perform site engineering activities during construction and commissioning phases.

What are we looking for?

Education: Technical diploma, bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in STEM discipline. Experience: At least 5 years of experience as Instrumentation Engineer within the Energy Sector: Power plants, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Renewable or Floaters. Languages: English (B2), Italian (C1)

Technical/IT Skills:

• Independently develop technical specifications, datasheets and installation designs for the various types of Instrumentation Systems.
• Interface himself/herself independently with the other engineering disciplines and with the suppliers, in order to identify optimized solutions from a technical/economical point of view.
• Independently capture, analyze and solve interdisciplinary issues affecting instrumentation scope of work, that may occur during the project activities, properly involving other disciplines/functions.
• Knowledge of main digital environment used for plant design development and material management in Energy Industry (Aveva, Hexagon, Autodesk).
• Strong attitude for working in highly digitized environments, maximizing the use of new technologies to streamline operations.
