A leading engineering firm in Italy is seeking a Senior Installation Analyst to support design teams by performing installation analyses using OrcaFlex. The candidate should have a minimum of 4-5 years in the oil and gas sector with strong knowledge in FEA modeling. The position can be based in Fano or remote, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on exciting projects including LNG Plants and Offshore Wind Farms.

Competenze

The candidate will be expected to participate in the dedicated project where he/she will be required to support the design teams as well as the methodology teams by performing installation analyses using the software OrcaFlex.

Qualifications

Senior Installation analyst, with a minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in installation analyses of pipelines considering either the J-lay or the S-lay methodology. Additional analyses include heavy load deployment and installation analyses for subsea flexibles and umbilicals.

Capability profile – Knowledge, skills, experience:

• MSc or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or Hydrodynamics
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry or equivalent, focusing on installation analyses and/or in-place design of cables, risers, or flexibles
• Proficient in FEA modeling with strong knowledge of OrcaFlex or DeepLines software
• Fluent in English
• Strong knowledge of DNVGL RP C205 and DNVGL RP H103 standards
• Knowledge of UFLEX software is a plus

Role Description

The candidate will support the design and methodology teams by performing installation analyses using OrcaFlex.

• Ability to produce deliverables such as engineering support, design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, reports, bid evaluations, and study reports
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary system engineering team
• Ability to prioritize workload, manage time effectively, and communicate constraints impacting project schedule or budget
• Interest in analysis tools and development (e.g., Python, VBA)
• Ability to work within time and budget constraints
• Experience working in multicultural teams
