Job summary

Valmet in Lucca, Italy seeks a Customer Service Inside Sales Specialist to manage repair opportunities for machine components and assemblies installed on customer production lines. You will guide the process from initial inquiry and technical assessment through quotation, repair execution and return delivery, acting as the main customer contact and coordinating with Engineering and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Hold a technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, BOMs, materials, processes, inspections and repair activities.
• Experience in technical Customer Service, spare parts management, repairs or technical-commercial roles is a strong advantage.
• Proficient with MS Office and ERP systems, preferably SAP, and able to manage quotations, orders, costs, delivery dates and follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete repair process for customer-owned machine components and assemblies from inquiry to return shipment.
• Collect and evaluate technical information to understand application, operating conditions, failure mode and repair scope with Engineering input.
• Prepare and present technical-commercial quotations, detailing repair solution, costs, lead times, risks and alternatives.
• Coordinate with Quality Control, Warehouse, Procurement, Planning, Workshop and Shipping to ensure traceability, quality and timely execution, and clear customer communication.
• Identify repair opportunities, develop customer relationships and promote repairs as a sustainable alternative to new parts.
