SLB in Colico, Italy, seeks an Industrial Engineer with a passion for automation and continuous improvement. You will contribute to projects transforming manufacturing through lean methods, digitalization, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will work under the Industrial Engineer Supervisor, supporting budgeting, KPI analysis, and the start-up of new machinery and systems in a full-time, 12-month contract. English and Italian fluency are required.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Continuous improvement mindset with focus on automation and optimization.
• Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and techniques.
• Strong communication, time management and problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and investment analysis in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with HSE regulations and contractor management in industry.
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Fluent in English and Italian (written and spoken).
• Previous industrial/energy sector experience is a plus.

Are you a recent Engineering graduate passionate about automation and innovation?

As an Industrial Engineer, you will contribute to projects that transform manufacturing processes through automation, digitalization, and continuous improvement initiatives. Working alongside experienced professionals and cross-functional teams, you will gain hands-on experience while building a strong foundation for a rewarding engineering career.

The role reports to the Industrial Engineer Supervisor and is based in Colico, (Italy).

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Implement Lean Manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Technical and operational support to Manufacturing Manager and cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing teams.
• Manage the budget for capital investments and tooling.
• Industrial project coordination, including installation, commissioning, and start-up of new machinery equipment and production systems.
• Monitor and analyze production costs (overhead analysis with regular monitoring, reporting, and variance analysis) and identify costs arising from non-conformities.
• Supplier and non-conformity cost management, including identification and recovery of costs related to supplier-related quality issues.
• Manage the production time-tracking system.
• Performance management and KPI analysis, supporting operational and strategic decision-making.
• Generate and analyze operational statistics and reports.
• Contractor supervision and HSE compliance, ensuring coordination, regulatory adherence, and safe execution of external activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
• Continuous improvement mindset, with a strong interest in automation and process optimization.
• Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and techniques.
• Strong communication, time management and problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and investment analysis in a manufacturing context.
• Familiarity with HSE regulations and contractor management in an industrial environment.
• Proficient use of MS Office (especially Excel).
• Fluent in English and Italian (written and spoken).
• Previous technical experience in a manufacturing environment and/or the energy sector, preferably in an automation-related role would be considered as asset.

Must have Technical Competencies:

• Programming (coding).
• Management of IT systems and network protocols.
• Knowledge of Angular, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft SQL Server, and C# .

What We Offer:

Employment Type: 12-month fixed-term, full-time contract.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM, with flexible working hours.

Compensation: Gross annual salary (RAL) starting from €30,000.
