FAO is seeking an Evaluation Officer in the Office of Evaluation (OED) in Rome to design, conduct, and promote the use of evaluations across FAO’s strategic framework. You will support lead evaluators, organize meetings, missions, and events, and contribute to evidence-based decision making.

Applicants should hold an advanced degree in evaluation methods and have several years of experience in evaluations, with strong English skills and a track record of analytical thinking, teamwork, and

Competenze

• Advanced university degree focused on research and evaluation methods in data science, economics, econometrics, geography, political science, public policy, sociology, or statistics.
• Three years of relevant experience in supporting, designing, planning and/or conducting evaluations.
• Working knowledge (proficiency) of English and intermediate knowledge (intermediate proficiency) of another official FAO language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish).
• Analytical skills and ability to write clear and concise reports in English.

• Supports the preparation of evaluation reports and related materials, such as briefs, papers, and presentations.
• Supports the development and improvement of OED corporate processes, including conducting research and contributing to design and implementation of process enhancements.
• Applies rigorous analytical thinking in conducting analyses and documenting work to ensure reproducibility.
• Ensures the quality of the work conducted or managed, including reports and presentations.
• Participates actively in multidisciplinary evaluation teams, often with internal and external partners.
