Job summary

Leonardo Space Division's Telespazio Flight Dynamics department in Italy seeks a Junior Flight Dynamics Engineer to contribute across Mission Analysis, Operations Preparation and LEOP tasks. The role requires 0–5 years of experience, a solid engineering background, knowledge of Java and OREKIT, and willingness to travel and work occasional unusual hours.

Qualifications

• BS or Master's degree in mathematics, physics, aerospace or relevant engineering.
• Seniority: 0–5 years of experience.
• Leadership and strong communication skills, written and spoken.
• Cognitive, analytical, delegation, planning and organisational abilities.
• Ability to anticipate problems and solve complex issues.
• Willingness to travel abroad and work irregular hours during operations.
• Eligibility for security clearances for National Programs.
• Good knowledge of English.
• Knowledge of programming languages, preferably Java.
• Experience with OREKIT library is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Mission Analysis support for requirements specification, design, development and verification.
• Support Operations Concept definition and Operations Preparation.
• Support LEOP Definition, Preparation and Execution.
• Support routine Phases from Commissioning to Graveyarding.
• Assist anomaly resolution and Flight Dynamics operations for LEO/MEO/GEO satellites.
• Implement necessary System Evolutions in procedures and configurations.
